How nacionalidade.help works
We collect public registry-office updates, organise them into queues and compare your submission date with the latest published position.
Where the data comes from
The source is the automatic information Portuguese registry offices publish by email. Each update has a reference month and the submission dates currently being reviewed.
What a queue is
A queue combines a registry office, legal basis, registration route, age group and processing stage. Changing one of these details means looking at a different queue.
How the comparison works
We compare the month when your application was submitted with the month the office says it is reviewing. The result is a distance between two public dates, not a promise.
What the estimate means
When there is enough history and a positive pace, the site can show an estimate window. It does not predict a decision date and it never describes an individual case.
Why there can be gaps
A month without a publication remains a gap. Repeating the last known value would turn missing information into invented information.
Known limits
Requests can leave the normal order because of documents, checks, opinions or redistribution between services. Only the official IRN consultation can confirm an individual case.
