Nationality cases

Guidance for each type of application followed in the calendar and estimate.
Portuguese registry offices do not publish a single date. They publish one date per queue — a combination of office, legal basis, registration route, age group and stage. Choosing the right case makes the comparison meaningful.
Each page explains what offices publish for that legal basis, how to read it and where the comparison stops being reliable. Plain language comes first; the legal article remains as a reference.
If the language in the emails is unfamiliar, the glossary explains each term, and the methodology explains the full calculation, including its limits.
